Art hurts. Art urges voyages - and it is easier to stay at home.

The Self-Published Books of Black & Bookish

I hold a very special place in my heart (and right here on the blog) for independent and self-published authors. As important as it is to know the works of Malcom X, Octavia E. Butler, and Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, YOUR work should be celebrated too. I want to celebrate the hard work you put into self-publishing, self-producing, and sometimes being a business of one.

Below are wonderful authors who have reached out to me personally to have their work reviewed on Black & Bookish. Some I met at book festifavles, some just through email. Each photo contains a short description of the book, the link to my Black & Bookish review, and a link to the author's website/social media
