A Place for Readers

There is no way to acquire deep knowledge without reading.

All stories have a beginning

It’s no secret that Black & Bookish started as a humble book blog. My lofty goal was to create a database, somewhere you could easily find a collection of books, categorized in many different ways, in order to accommodate different learning styles.

Although this site has expanded beyond a simple book catalogue, I wanted to create a space that is dedicated to “the reader.” Here you will find all the reviews, lists, further suggested reading, and reading life hacks.

Self-Published Spotlight Authors

Big-name publishing companies aren’t the only places to find good books. Self-Published authors are writing engaging stories too, they just need the space to have their voices heard. Below are the self-published authors reviewed on this site.
